See this amazing work of industrial design? It is the La Marzocco home espresso machine. It is beautiful and I’m sure it produces a wonderful, delicious thing, even though I’ve never used one. When Will and I have our sustainable, architected prefab home on a few secluded acres somewhere, I will get one of these machines. If not sooner. Because I was spoiled by the Seattle coffee culture and am now an elitist coffee snob who needs a culinary work of art in a porcelain demi-tasse every morning. Thanks a lot Vivace, Victrola, Ladro, Fiore, Top Pot and especially, the espresso bar of all espresso bars, Sant Eustachio. Your talented baristas, wonderful beans and magnificent Italian machines have created a beast.
